I <3 this!: Make your own ‘Wicked Cheap Chemical Free Laundry Soap’!

How to make your own homemade laundry detergent

I am so excited!  I just received an email from a fan telling me about her fantastic creation.  She (Sylvia) has a recipe for “Wicked Cheap Chemical Free Laundry Soap” (that’s my name for it, not hers).  :)

Syliva says her detergent is just as good as Tide, front-loader friendly, AND wicked cheap to make (it only costs about $2.50 to make 3 gallons of it!)

Click here to see her ‘how-to’ video on youtube.

FYI: there are 2 products needed to make this detegent that I have never heard of:  Zote Soap and Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda. Zote soap is available at Walmart and you can click here to find out where to get the Super Washing Soda.

PS – Click here to check out Slyvia’s blog.  She has a series of  how to videos’s about cleaning, cooking, sewing and more!  Some of her topics include how to clean the bathroom, make your own dryer sheets, and linen water!  Yay!

Are you wicked cheap too?

  1. Where can you find Fels Naptha?

  2. Another alternative to Zote is Fels Naptha. It’s found in the laundry isle. I also add Borax to mine.
