The kids and I had soooo much fun with this set!  Inside the tub is a big sheet full of different things you can make with the pieces in the box.  Han Solo (he’s 4) didn’t quite ‘get it’ at the beginning, but once I showed him how the different pieces fit together he was off and running!  Little Alicia (she’s 5) pulled up the table, looked at the instructions and got right to work building.  They started out by making different things off the instruction sheet, but it wasn’t long before they were creating their own things.

 

I can say with confidence that there will be some K’NEX products underneath our Christmas tree this year! 

 

BONUS:  I love how the pieces come in a sturdy plastic tub – easy clean up and storage!

 

FYI: If you’ve got two kids of about the same age who will be sharing this toy, you  might consider purchasing two sets.  There are a limited number of pieces in each tub (for example, only one pair of eyes) which makes it hard to build more than one character at a time.
