Day 5 – Chalk

Today the kids and I played with chalk. Now chalk in itself isn’t a big deal – my kids play with chalk almost every day. However I can not tell you the last time I touched a piece of chalk. I don’t like how my hands get all mucky and I’m always worried about my clothes getting dirty from sitting on the ground…I don’t touch chalk!
Well, today I played with chalk!
We started out with hopscotch - then my creative juices kicked in!
I wrote the entire alphabet on the ground and then asked Han Solo to circle the letter H, cross out the letter S, etc. - he needs to practice his letters
We traced our bodies and colored them in.
And we made a loopy trail to follow (when the kids got to an X they had to jump over it).
I got dirty…and it was OK!
