From Skechers:
DESCRIPTION: The Extended Fitness shoe brings the Shape-ups technology to all-day wear. This lower profile version is designed for a less intense, but consistent workout that can carry women through the entire day, for a light to moderate calorie burn. This shoe is perfect for women who want a continual, full-body workout while at home, work or on-the-go.
BENEFITS:
| Improves Posture and Circulation | Tightens Abs | Firms Leg Muscles |
| Reduces Joint Stress | Firms Butt | Strengthens Back |
FEATURES:
- Kinetic Wedge Technology: An ultra-soft kinetic wedge of polyurethane extends from heel to toe, giving each stride a gradual transition and engaging muscles at a low impact throughout the day, while decreasing foot fatigue.
- Superior Cushioning with an Added Challenge: The softer, lower layer provides superior cushioning and creates natural instability. This helps increase muscle activity by forcing the foot and body to constantly adjust for proper balance and positioning.
- Dual Featured In-Sole: A two-part, firm- and soft-density midsole delivers a rocking effect from heels to toes. This natural instability helps activate muscles, and takes pressure off the back and joints.
- Stylish Toning:Patent leather accents, metallic mesh inserts, durable synthetic, nubuck and leather uppers offer both comfort and style.

In.Love. Check out the optional blue/gray laces!!
From me:
Let me just start by saying that I do not exercise…not even a little bit.
That’s why I was so excited to receive a pair of Shape-ups XF Extended Fitness for review- they are designed for a low intensity workout and all day wear.
Wear them to the grocery or while you’re doing laundry – and you’re exercising without even knowing it!
I just received my Shape-ups last week so I can’t tell you if I’ve lost any weight or cellulite (they can reduce cellulite!), but I can tell you that these shoes are WICKED comfortable. I have almost wide feet so a lot of sneakers ‘pinch’ me, but these are perfect.
My Shape-ups came with a DVD and a booklet…how fun is that? The DVD contains a 5 minute instructional video as well as a 15 minute workout video and a 30 minute workout video. The booklet is called ‘The Shape-ups’ Guide to Healthy Eating”, it contains info on everything from BMI (Body Mass Index) to BEE (Basal Energy Expenditure) as well as snack and meal ideas!
When I first put the sneakers on it felt weird, kind of mushy, but fun too! My body quickly got used to them and now it feels ‘normal’ to walk in them. When I wear them I feel longer, if that makes any sense, and I find that I’m shuffling my feet a lot less! In the instructional video I learned about a toe heel rocking exercise you can do while standing still…and I find myself doing this all the time – it’s fun to be able to rock in your shoes!
I’ve been eyeballing Shape-ups forever and I regret I didn’t get myself a pair sooner. I.love.them and think that they are so much fun!
