Blogging has its’ perks!!
I was chosen by MommyParties and Mix Pups to host a Mix Pup party!
The concept is simple and fantastic. In exchange for a HUGE box of Mix Pup toys and brochures, I agreed to host a Mix Pup party for my daughter and 10 of her friends!
Mix Pups are like much like the “Littlest Pet Shop” toys, except that they are bigger and are all pups. The cool thing about them is that you can mix them up! You can swap out their legs, hair, clothes, even their heads and bodies can be switched around!
The party was a lot of fun. The girls (and a couple of their brothers) enjoyed some ‘puppy’ games and refreshments while the ‘Big Kid Helpers’ supervised and the Mom’s drank coffee, ate bagels, and gossiped!
My niece Anna became Mix Pups biggest fan that day. When she got home that night she put all of her Mix Pups in a special dog shaped purse. It’s been a couple of weeks since we had the party and she still carries around the Mix Pup brochure to show everyone what she wants for her next birthday and/or Christmas.
FYI: You can purchase Mix Pups at Toys “R” Us. The are sold in packs of one or two pups, and extra accessories can be purchased separately. This line of toys also has some great play sets including including the Pawty Van and Fancy Paws Day Spa .
Please note: We did have a problem with the Mix Pups’ legs. They kept falling off and were hard to put back on. I have heard that the manufacturer is aware of the issues and has made adjustments to the product line. And they suggest that the legs be twisted as you insert to attach.
